Objectives of the Research and Education SIG -

Facilitate the creation of research collaborations between Institutions / groups by raising awareness of the research activities and expertise within the medical physics and bioengineering community in Ireland;

Support and encouragement of members early in their research career, and undergraduates interested in entering this field;

Provide advice on sources of grant funding to enable research;

Organisation of educational workshops and talks on hot topics in medical physics and bioengineering;

Creation of a research information resource on the APSM website.
